WARNING! This section of the wiki contains potential plot spoilers for the quests in Sim Settlements 2.
Recreation plots are a plot type in Sim Settlements 2 that serves one of two functions:
Recreation plots do this by allowing a settler to have a hobby. You can check what hobby a settler has by using the Vit-o-Matic.
Settlers can have a hobby as well as a job, so a settler can be assigned to a Residential plot, a job plot (Commercial, Industrial, Agricultural, Municipal or Martial) and a Recreation plot. This is different from Sim Settlements 1 where Recreation plots were jobs too.
When settlers are assigned to one of the Recreation Plots that trains a specific stat, it takes longer for each increase.
See more information about Settlers
Recreation plots are unlocked by completing the quest New Plots on the Block.
If the settler is assigned to a Recreation plot in the Relaxation Building Class, it will raise the happiness of the settlement overall. Only a single settler can be assigned to a Relaxation plot, regardless of its level.
There are seven S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Building Classes, one for each S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stat. Building one of these and assigning a settler to it will slowly increase the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stat provided by that plot to the settler assigned. This will increase the settler's productivity and eventually allow them to work advanced or high-tec plots.
