Jake - Tom Schalk
- Your Pip-Boy will tell you to listen to Jake's Frequency.
- Tune to the frequency and listen to Jake's message.
- Check in with Jake at Concord Hardware.
- Jake tells you about the Comm Hub and then asks you to restart the plutonium well reactor underneath Concord.
- Find the reactor and figure out how to restart it.
Path to the reactor
a. To access the service tunnels under Concord, look for a cellar door called "Concord Civic Access". (Your quest will mark the door.)
b. You will encounter radroaches and mirelurks as you make your way to the reactor.
c. Descend the stairs to find the Maintenance Door, more stairs, then through the sewage pipes (keep going mostly to your left) to find the reactor room.
- Once you have found the reactor, if you push the Red Button, you will find that the reactor will not start.
- Find a way to restart the generator.
- Push that Red Button.
- Return to Jake.
- Jake will attempt to start up the Comm Hub.
- After that attempt, there will be some dialogue with Jake, then he will give instructions for building a Jury-Rigged Defense Plot.
- Jake asks for a few days and says that he will send you a radio message when he has things figured out.
Next Quest: Hub of the Problem
- If you are interested in story (Fallout vanilla), read the entries made on the Terminal in the reactor room.
- To build a Jury-Rigged Defense Plot, you'll find the plot in Industrial Plots. Once placed, it will build from your available plans for Martial Plots and provide defense for your settlement.
