¶ Overview
The ASAM Sensor MkII is the most advanced version of ASAM Sensor technology developed by Karl S. Magnusson. It is introduced in Chapter 3 during When It Rains.
The ASAM Sensor MkII can be used to upgrade an ASAM Sensor on an existing plot to build an Architectural Marvel Class building plan.
¶ Crafting
The ASAM Sensor MkII can be crafted at a City Planner's Desk and requires the following components:
- Aluminum (15)
- Ciruitry (5)
- Crystal (1)
- Fiber Optics (2)
- Gold (2)
- Plastic (6)
- Screw (10)
¶ Upgrading an ASAM Sensor
- Activate the ASAM Sensor on an existing plot.
- Select Customize Plot.
- Select Upgrade to Mark II ASAM.
- The Sensor will then upgrade to the ASAM Sensor MkII.
- The ASAM Sensor MkII will have the same Activate and View Details menu options as the ASAM Sensor.
¶ Architectural Marvels
Any Plot Type can have a building plan for an Architectural Marvel. Currently, Sim Settlements 2 has one building plan for an Architectural Marvel. That building plan is the [SS2C3] Helios Tower available only in SS2 Extended and is unlocked through completing a research project in Headquarters.

Building Plan mod authors can provide additional building plans that will likely have different requirements to unlock their Architectural Marvels.
¶ Future Plans
- Currently, there are no plans to include more Architectural Marvel building plans with Sim Settlements 2.
- At this time, the [SS2C3] Helios Tower cannot be unlocked using the City Manager 2078 Holotape to unlock building plots or building plans. However, there are plans to allow that in the future.
