- Meet Aiden near Malden School. You will be able to:
a. Ask about a plan
b. Ask for a report on gunner activity
- Aiden will ask you to dismiss your companion, unless you are using Dogmeat.
- Continue with Aiden to Malden School
- Enter the Malden School basement to access the vault
- Wise will challenge you on entry. Through dialogue options:
a. You may be able to convince him that you are new recruits.
b. If so, you will be given Gunner Uniforms and asked to stow your weapons in a container before proceeding.
- If you cannot convince him, Wise will attack.
a. You may be able to injure him which will cause him to submit and answer questions
b. Get Security information (pass a Charisma check)
c. Ask Wise about getting past security.
d. Ask Wise to join you (pass a Charisma check)
- If you attack and kill Wise, the Gunners will be hostile moving forward through the vault
- Search for Jake
- Find a Lab Access Card to gain access to next area
- If you have been exploring the vault in disguise, you will be challenged by the gunners in the diner
a. You may be able to avoid combat by passing a Charisma check
b. If you fail, the gunners will turn hostile and all gunners will be hostile proceeding through the vault.
- Use the Lab Access Card to access the next area
- Continue searching for Jake
- Find an Admin Access card
- Use the Admin Access card to access the Administration area
- A stairway up will lead to a closed door. Aiden will tell you to hold up a min.
- Observe Jake being interrogated in the next room by Berman
- The door will open when Berman leaves the room.
- Enter, Jake greets you and you can engage Algernon in a conversation.
- Though dialogue options, you can:
a. Find out more about why the Gunners took the Comm Hub
b. Decide to ally with Algernon
- Leave the vault (Remember to collect your gear if you stashed it)
