¶ Walkthrough
- Meet Jake at the hardware store.
- After a conversation, Jake asks you to help with the radio while he goes to the plutonium reactor to get some more power.
- Sit down in the chair to man the radio.
- Tune down until you can hear something on the radio.
- The person on the radio threatens you and Jake comes rushing back concerned that the frequency is one that the Gunners use.
- He wants to talk to them to smooth things over and gives three possible locations where they might be.
a. Track down the gunners with Jake.
b. Have Jake go out on his own, and join after. - Check for gunners at each location.
- At one of the locations, you are met by Aiden.
- The conversation with Aiden is interrupted by gunners who attack.
- After the battle and a brief conversation, Aiden takes his leave and Jake remains, asking you to meet him at the hardware store.

Issues:
- Those using the Extended Dialogue Interface (XDI) mod will encounter issues with this quest during the radio tuning. A patch is required for XDI - SS2 - XDI Compatibility Patch.
- If you have See Through Scopes installed, equip a non scoped ranged weapon before triggering the Aiden scene (or the scene will hang)
- If the vanilla dialog camera is turned off in the game settings, the Aiden scene will hang.
- Also, if you disable the crosshairs in settings, the Aiden scene will hang/
- Player Reported Issue: Players using Classic Holstered Weapons System (CHW) may encounter issues with this quest. Workaround: Save before activating the dialog sequence at the destroyed home with the dead gunners. Disable CHW. Load game and continue. After the dialogue scenes, you can re-enable CHW.
Solutions: As of March 3, 2023, Release 2.3.2:
- Players using a scoped weapon will be equipped with a temporary 10mm pistol when pointing a gun at Aiden. This will avoid an issue those weapons could cause that would prevent the player from proceeding through the quest.
- The radio tuning scene now supports players using the Extended Dialogue Interface (XDI) mod
