I mostly play open-world exploration & adventure games like Elder Scrolls, Horizon: Zero Dawn and The Witcher, but I enjoy a wide variety of genres like MMOs, CRPGs and roguelikes.
¶ What is your favorite thing to work on for SS2? and why?
I enjoy building environments as a whole, but my favorite thing is when I can build hostile, irradiated,monster-infested dungeons. The more dangerous and gross, the better. I love adding in tons of environmental details.
¶ What was the most difficult thing you worked on in
So far, the most difficult thing that I've worked on is some of the updates and improvements to the Concord hardware store. Most of my modding work is creative, and these updates required me to become comfortable with a lot of new technical things like scripts and quest aliases. It took a little while to learn what I needed to do.
¶ Do you have a story about working on SS2 that you'd like to share?
The launch of Chapter 2 was interesting. It seems like much of the team was working on the mod until the hour it was supposed to launch. Chatting with the team and reading the live Youtube comments on the trailer video was exciting- I had never been a part of such a thing, and it was great to see all of our hard work finally getting released.
In the immediate future, I intend to keep making dungeons and levels for Sim Settlements 2's 3rd chapter. Later on, perhaps I'll start to mod Starfield or even make my own little games. I'd love to be able do this kind of thing for a living, so maybe Sim Settlements will be just the beginning.
